Salem San Francisco (AM 1100 KFAX and News/Talk 1220 KNTS) is seeking a responsible, outgoing, creative individual to join our Promotions and Marketing team! Ideal candidates should enjoy working with people, and have strong presentation skills and a flexible schedule.
Position Summary: As a Promotions Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to) planning and working station events that range from remote broadcasts to concerts and conferences with thousands of attendees, assisting with direct-mail and other advertising campaigns, handling minor duties in prize fulfillment and listener relations, simple website maintenance and updates, training Interns and volunteers, and other various tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Candidates MUST enjoy being in public and working directly with people, posses strong presentation skills, and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. associated with event set-up/tear-down. Night and weekend hours are required, in addition to some regular office hours, so a flexible schedule is critical. Ideal candidates will be adept in spelling and grammar, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic knowledge in HTML/CSS is preferred. Candidates must also have a valid California Drivers License and a good driving record, as this job requires driving of the company vehicle.

Position Summary: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: sales and related activities including prospecting, account sales, servicing, and collection. Also, includes converting accounts into annual contracts, account analysis, and production supervision. Salary and commissions are paid on the selling and servicing of client's account, which includes campaign design, scheduling copy, and maintaining excellent client relations.

Position Summary: Responsible for engineering and call-screening during live and/or pre-recorded talk programming; maintaining station compliance with FCC regulations; and sustaining continuity of station sound and imaging. Two to five years experience in radio recommended.
Qualifications: Need working knowledge of automation systems (ENCO preferred) and transmitter logs maintenance. Must possess a pleasant and professional on-air presence. Must have operational knowledge of radio broadcast facilities and transmitter remote control, including IBM-compatible computers and digital editing systems. Need flexibility in shift schedules with availability to engineer and/or host periodic remotes and special events.

Salem San Francisco is seeking a responsible, outgoing student who is looking to learn more about the exciting world of radio, particularly the aspect of planning events, advertising and promoting, and marketing for a radio station.
Position Summary: Salem San Francisco's Promotions Department handles marketing efforts for both AM 1100 KFAX and News/Talk 1220 KNTS. An Intern in the Promotions Department would be responsible for much of the legwork involved in planning events for both stations, and efforts in marketing the stations to new audiences. This includes clerical duties (data entry, filing and correspondence), listener relations, setting up and working events (conferences, concerts, station remotes, etc.), and other various tasks handed down by management.
Qualifications: Our internship program is built to GIVE you the experience you need, so we don't require much. However, you must be over 18 years of age, and legally be allowed to work in the United States. You must also be enrolled in an educational institution, and be able to receive credit for the work that you do here. You must also have an available schedule that permits you to work nights and/or weekends in addition to office hours at the station. You must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and be comfortable and presentable in working with the public. Experience with HTML is a plus.
